OUR HISTORY
B&K Tuckpointing Company was founded in 1959 by Kenneth M. Skaggs and his wife Marlene. In 1970, Ken’s son Kenneth S. Skaggs (Bo) joined the company as an apprentice. For 10 years the father and son duo worked side by side to grow the company that was once run out of their family home. Together, they built a business dedicated to excellent customer service, innovative problem solving and integrity. By 1980, Ken handed the reins to Bo.
Over the years, B&K has grown to be one of the leading masonry companies in the St. Louis area. Our years of experience make us uniquely qualified to solve some of biggest masonry challenges St. Louis has to offer. We employ a full-time staff of union craftsmen who combine years of knowledge, safety and material specifications with proper installation.
Now, well into the 6th decade of business, B&K Tuckpointing has turned to the next generation to continue the long tradition of masonry excellence. Bo’s daughter Sara and son-in-law Scott Masterson have joined the company in recent years. Our heritage as a family owned and operated company extends beyond the office into the field where we currently employ 2nd and 3rd generation bricklayers from the same family.
Today, B&K Tuckpointing remains focused on providing an honest evaluation of masonry repairs, exceptional service, and quality workmanship. Masonry is in our blood.
